"When you climb to the top, continue the ascent" – Tibetan proverb.

The year 2026, according to the Tibetan calendar, is the year of the Red Fire Horse.
Such a year occurs once every 60 years and is considered a special time for pilgrimages and spiritual practices.

It is believed that during such periods, the merit gained from visiting sacred sites is multiplied many times over.

Mount Kailash is one of the most sacred places on Earth.
For Buddhists, Hindus, and followers of the ancient Bon tradition, this mountain is the center of the world and a place of special spiritual power.

According to Tibetan beliefs, one circumambulation of Kailash (kora) performed during a period of strong blessing is equal to 13 circumambulations.

This journey is not just a route.
It is a road through ancient monasteries, sacred lakes, and the high-altitude plateaus of Tibet to one of the most mysterious places on the planet.
Who is this journey for?
This journey is for those who feel an inner response to Tibet and Kailash and are ready for a route that combines pilgrimage, trekking, and immersion in Tibetan culture.
It is not just a journey; it is a path deep into yourself.

location
Our journey begins in Lhasa, the historic capital of Tibet, located at an altitude of 3750 meters. Here we will gradually acclimatize and get acquainted with the main sanctuaries of the city.
We will visit the Jokhang Temple – the most revered temple in Tibet, and also perform a kora around the Barkhor square together with Tibetan pilgrims.
One of the first places on the route will be Samye Monastery – the first Buddhist monastery in Tibet, built in the 8th century.

Then our path continues through the sacred places of the Tibetan plateau.

We will visit:
  • Tsurpu Monastery – the seat of the Karmapa
  • The sacred lake Namtso
  • Tashilunpo Monastery in Shigatse – the seat of the Panchen Lama
  • The ancient Shalu Monastery
  • Sakya Monastery, one of the most important centers of Tibetan Buddhism

The journey passes through the vast high-altitude plateaus of Tibet, where nomads roam, herds of yaks graze, and panoramas of Himalayan peaks open up.

Sacred Lakes.
One of the most powerful points of the route will be a visit to the sacred lake Manasarovar. In Hindu and Buddhist tradition, this lake is believed to symbolize the purity of the primordial mind. Nearby is the mystical lake Rakshas Tal, which in the Tibetan tradition symbolizes the other side of energy – the power of transformation.
After this, we arrive in Darchen, the starting point for the Kailash Kora.

Kora around Kailash. The Kora is a circumambulation of the sacred mountain. For Tibetans, this is one of the most important acts of spiritual practice – a path of purification and inner renewal.

The Kora route takes three days
day 1
Trek to Dirapuk Monastery (about 20 km). An impressive view of the north face of Kailash opens from here.
day 2
The most difficult and most important day of the Kora. Crossing the Dolma La pass (5700 m) and descending to Zutulpuk Monastery.

In 2026, the Kora will be performed during the full moon period, which is considered an especially favorable time for pilgrimage
